Flintco Assistant Superintendents exercise direct supervision over assigned crews or subcontractors from start to finish, providing direction, leadership, and guidance to employees and subcontractors, assisting them in planning, coordination and execution of their work in order to complete the project in a timely and economical manner with high standards of workmanship. Responsible for maximizing profits on assigned projects. All job site supervisors report to superintendent.
All job functions shall be accomplished including practicing, instructing all subordinates in, and enforcing all OSHA safety requirements/guidelines, in addition to all company policies and procedures. The Assistant Superintendent will be held directly accountable for safety performance. The essential functions include but are not limited to:
May Manage Field Crews
Ability to prepare detailed construction projects plans, schedules and estimates, read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications, calculate square footage, volumes and percentages using a personal computer or calculator, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, prepare and update project schedules, transmittals and submittals using personal computer software. Manage personnel to accomplish desired results through subordinate levels of management with little or no supervision.
High School diploma or GED
At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in construction and management of field personnel.
Special Job Dimensions
Exposure to all forms of weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, dry, humid, windy) for part or the entire work day. Exposure to constant or intermittent noise of a level sufficient to cause distraction. May be required to work 10 hour days for 6 or 7 consecutive days for extended periods of time.
