Flintco Assistant Project Managers are responsible for assisting the project manager with assigned construction projects and company policy, including the scheduling, coordinating and monitoring of project activity, and for ensuring that the projects are completed within budget and on schedule. Supervises assigned Subordinate Project Managers, Project Estimators, Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents and Project Secretaries. Travel, as needed, for remote job locations.
Knowledge and ability to prepare detailed planning for construction project, schedules and estimates and to make proper modifications to such, using a computer and standard company software. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications. Ability perform quantity take-offs, estimate construction costs, organize bid forms and bid packages, and manage project budgets. Ability and skill in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, as in providing written and oral instructions to employees and in communicating with architects, clients and subcontractors. Knowledge of and application skills in geometry, trigonometry and algebra. Working knowledge of computers and basic software programs. Ability to manage project teams, large groups of personnel and ability to accomplish desired results through delegation. Working knowledge of company standard policies and procedures.
B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent combination of education, technical training and related experience.
3 to 5 years of experience in construction trades.
